PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch repair. HDMI port soldering, controller stick drift, power issues, and more. Same-day repair available for most issues.
Why Gamers Choose Us
When your console breaks, your gaming stops. Most repair shops in Albuquerque don’t have the equipment or skill to handle the harder console repairs, especially HDMI port soldering, which requires micro-soldering tools and steady hands. We do.
We’ve been repairing game consoles in Albuquerque since 2016. PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, controllers, all in shop, no shipping anywhere.
Three things set our console repair work apart:
- Board-level HDMI port soldering: This is the repair most local shops can't do. We use professional micro-soldering equipment to replace damaged HDMI ports on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
- Same-day repair for most issues: Controllers with stick drift, broken HDMI ports, power problems, overheating, all typically completed the same day.
- No shipping required: Other services ship your console to a remote facility and you wait two weeks. We do everything in shop.

Game Console Repairs We Handle
Whether your HDMI port is loose, your controller has stick drift, or your console won’t power on, the issue almost always falls into one of these categories. Walk in for a free diagnostic.

The repair we're known for. PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series HDMI ports are notorious for breaking when cables get pulled or bent. The port itself sits soldered to the console's main board, so replacing it requires removing the old port from the board and soldering on a new one without damaging the surrounding circuitry. This is precision work that requires professional micro-soldering equipment. Most local repair shops can't do this.

Joy-Con drift is the most well-known controller issue, but PlayStation DualShock and DualSense controllers and Xbox controllers all suffer from analog stick drift over time. We replace the analog stick modules to fix drift permanently.

Console won't turn on, turns on briefly then dies, or has random shutdowns. Could be the power supply, the power button, internal components, or in some cases water damage. We diagnose all of these and repair what's needed.

PS4, PS5, and Xbox consoles all use fans and thermal paste to manage heat. After a few years, dust builds up, thermal paste dries out, and consoles start running hot, which causes performance issues, fan noise, and eventually shutdowns. We clean cooling systems, replace thermal paste, and replace damaged fans.

Disc drive errors, discs that won't read, or discs that won't eject. We repair or replace disc drives on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X consoles.

Switch consoles and controllers can have charging port issues. The port itself can break, or it can collect debris. We repair both.

Beyond stick drift, controllers have a lot that can go wrong: unresponsive buttons, dead batteries, charging issues, broken triggers, and connectivity problems. We repair all of these.

Drinks spilled on consoles or controllers cause issues fast. The faster you bring it in, the better the chance of recovery. We open the console, clean the affected components, and address any board-level damage.

If your console is loud, hot, or just slowing down with age, a deep cleaning and thermal paste replacement can extend its life by years. Worth doing every 2 to 3 years on heavy-use consoles.

Frequently Asked Tablet Repair Questions
Can you really fix a broken HDMI port on PS5 or Xbox?
Yes. This is one of our most common repairs. We use professional micro-soldering equipment to replace the HDMI port directly on the console’s main board. The repair takes 2 to 4 hours and is done in shop. Most local repair shops can’t do this, which is why customers come to us specifically for HDMI work.
How much does an HDMI port repair cost?
Pricing depends on the console model. PS5 HDMI repair costs more than PS4 because the parts are more expensive. Call +1 505-336-1907 for an exact quote.
Can you fix Joy-Con drift?
Yes. We replace the analog stick modules on Joy-Cons to fix drift permanently. Same-day repair, usually under an hour.
My PS4 has the yellow light of death. Can you fix it?
Sometimes. The yellow light of death is usually caused by GPU or CPU solder joint failure, which is a board-level issue. We can diagnose and in many cases repair it. Bring it in for a free diagnostic.
My Xbox has the red ring of death. Can you fix it?
Maybe, depending on the model. The red ring of death on older Xbox 360 models was an overheating-related solder issue. On newer Xbox One and Series X/S, similar symptoms have different causes. We diagnose for free.
Will I lose my game saves during a console repair?
For most repairs (HDMI, controller, fans, cleaning), saves are not affected. For repairs that involve replacing the storage or doing board-level work, saves can be at risk. We always recommend syncing to cloud storage before any major repair.
Do you repair retro consoles?
We can sometimes repair older systems, depending on parts availability. Call ahead with your specific model.
How much does a console cleaning and thermal paste replacement cost?
Pricing depends on the console. PS4 and Xbox One cleaning is more straightforward than PS5 and Xbox Series X. Call for a quote. Most cleanings are well under $100 and can extend your console’s life by years.
