About ABQ Phone N Device Fix
A locally owned Albuquerque shop, founded in 2016 by Adam. Four technicians, tens of thousands of repaired devices, training across three continents, and a genuine love for fixing what others have given up on.
The Story Behind the Shop
Adam, our owner and lead technician, has been taking electronics apart since he was a kid in Turkey. In 2010 he moved to the United States and took his first job running a phone case kiosk at a mall in Texas. Watching customers come in every day with broken phones nobody local could fix, he knew what the next move was: open a real repair shop with honest pricing, careful work, and fast turnaround.
A few years later an opportunity came up in Albuquerque. Adam opened his first location inside Coronado Center mall, then relocated outside the mall in 2016 to the current Menaul Boulevard shop. That’s the founding year of ABQ Phone N Device Fix as you know it today. Adam stayed in Albuquerque because the city offered something Texas didn’t: the Sandia Mountains, the camp areas, the paragliding off the ridge. It became home, and the shop has been here ever since.
Trained Across Three Continents
The hardest parts of the work are the parts most customers never see. The micro-soldering on logic boards. The foldable phone disassembly that takes specialized tools and a steady hand. The data recovery on drives that won’t spin. Most shops can’t do this kind of work, because the training to do it well isn’t something you pick up from YouTube videos.
Adam spent years learning the craft from people who do it best. Self-taught hours at the bench taking apart device after device. Then training trips abroad. Courses in Turkey. In the Netherlands. In China, where many of the parts and tools used in modern device repair are designed and manufactured. Each trip added something. Better techniques, better tools, a deeper understanding of why certain repairs work and others don’t.
That training is the foundation of what the shop does today. The board-level work, the foldable repairs, the cases other people have given up on.
Meet the Team
Four technicians work at ABQ Phone N Device Fix. Each one has their own specialty. When you bring a device in, you’re working with the person best suited to fix it.
Brendan
Our newest team member, joined in 2026. Brendan specializes in computer and laptop repairs, game console repairs, and phone repairs. If your MacBook screen is cracked or your Windows desktop won’t boot, Brendan’s the person to ask for.
Cris
Joined the team in 2024. Cris specializes in phone repairs, game console repairs, and drone repairs. If your DJI needs a gimbal repair or your PS5 needs an HDMI port replacement, Cris is likely the person doing the work.
Sera
One of our longest-tenured team members. Sera specializes in phone repairs and game console repairs, and manages the day-to-day operations of the shop. If you’ve called or visited in person, there’s a good chance Sera helped you.
Adam
Founded the shop in 2016. Handles the hardest cases personally, board-level work, complex data recovery, and any device another shop has refused. Trained in Turkey, the Netherlands, and China.
By the Numbers

Nearly a decade of being the shop Albuquerque turns to.

Every repair is done in-house. Nothing gets shipped out.

When we started in 2016, we didn't do consoles at all. Today we're one of the few shops in Albuquerque doing board-level HDMI port soldering.

Across nearly ten years, that adds up to tens of thousands of phones, tablets, laptops, consoles, and drones brought back to life.

Adam has been working on devices full-time since opening at Coronado Center, with years of personal repair work before that.

As long as there's no new physical damage, our screen repairs are warrantied for life. Full terms on the warranty page.

Turkey, the Netherlands, and China.

Because the difference shows up daily, not just in the first week
The Jon Jones Story
A few years ago, UFC champion Jon Jones came in after being turned away by several other repair shops in town. His iPhone was unrepairable, they said. Adam had it working in 20 minutes. The full story is in the video below.
That kind of repair isn’t unusual for us. Devices other shops have given up on come in here regularly, and most of the time we send them home working. It’s the work the team is built around.

How We Think About the Work
Phones aren’t just devices anymore. They hold your photos, your messages, your work, your business, your way of staying in touch with the people who matter. When something breaks, you’re not just losing a piece of hardware. You’re losing access to your life until it’s fixed.
That’s why we treat every device like it’s our own. Honest pricing. Honest timelines. Honest answers when a repair isn’t worth doing, even when it costs us a sale. Walk-ins welcome, no gatekeeping behind appointment-only systems. No upselling someone into a repair that makes no sense for them. No pretending a job is more complicated than it is.
Most of the time we can fix what comes in. When we can’t, we tell you upfront and you walk out without paying for a diagnostic.
If you’re somewhere in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, or anywhere across the metro and you’ve got something that needs work, come by the shop.
